Elemental, at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour
This breathtaking show celebrates these four elements – fire, air, water and earth – combining spectacular 80 meter water shooters, flames, projection and pyro technics. Elemental takes us on a journey from the origins of our planet, through the ages that have defined Australia’s land and waterways and delivers us to the world we call home now. Jaw dropping effects mix with an original soundtrack to showcase the awe-inspiring and magical moments created when these four elements are at work.
The Mechanics of Spring, Darling Harbour, Tumbalong Boulevard
The Mechanics of Spring at Tumbalong Boulevard Darling Harbour is a forest of large-scale ultra-lightweight ‘wings’ and ‘leaves’ that twist and turn down a suspended wire, floating up and down in a hypnotic, strange pattern.
Music peformances: Tumbalong Nights, Tumbalong Park
Tumbalong Park is your Vivid Sydney go-to for free and eclectic contemporary music, in the very heart of the Light Walk. Catch 12 nights of free live music, with artists from Africa to Arnhem Land, as well as Sydney’s finest acts.
DJs keep the vibes high from Sunday to Wednesday nights and Australian children’s acts kick things off before the lights turn on, every Saturday from 5pm. Live music starts at 7.30pm each Thursday to Saturday* and Sunday 11 June, with kid’s shows each Saturday from 5pm to 6pm.
