The Sydney Royal Easter Show is a celebration of Australian culture from rural traditions to modern day lifestyles. The show is from 6th April to 17th April at Sydney Olympic Park. This is a fun event for all the family with non-stop entertainment, carnival rides and games, show bags, animal experiences and competitions and activities. 

Tops things to do at Easter Show 2023

The best way to get to and from the Sydney Royal Easter Show in Sydney Olympic Park is by public transport with plenty of extra trains and buses. Travel on public transport services is included in your Show tickets so you don’t have to drive the car there. 

Tickets are only available online via Ticketmaster. Tickets are not transferable to other Show days so be careful to book your tickets for the dates that you like to come. General tickets are $47 for adults and $29.5 for children. Tickets are cheaper after 4pm at $34 for adults and $15 for children. 

There are many more animal displays to be experienced over the show including poultry and birds, cats, cows, frogs and reptiles. 

You can also take children through the Animal Walk where they can view award-winning animals and farmyard friends such as alpacas, horses, chooks, ducks and goats. 

At the Sheep Shearing & Display Sheep Pavilion, the skills of super-speedy champion shearers are showcased every day of Show at Sheep Shearing & Display in Sheep Pavilion along with secrets from the shearing sheds and stories straight from the sheeps-shearer’s mouths. 

The Elders Sydney Royal Beef Cattle Show welcomes up to 25 breeds of beef cattle to compete and attracts competitors from across Australia. Beef Cattle will be on site at the Show from Thursday 6 until Monday 10 April.

The Woolworths AG Discovery has many hands-on-activities, interactive displays and educational fun for kids to learn about food and fiber, paddocks to plate and the importance of technology in agriculture. 

Farmyard Nursery is a great place for children to interact with many farm animals like little ducklings. 

Australian produce & horticulture area display fresh produce and a variety of cuisines on offer such as Big Bush BBQ, Art of Gelato, RAS Show Pies.  

The Yandiah Spinners & Weavers display at Sheep Pavilion demonstrates how wool is collected from sheep’s back, prepared, spun and knitted into clothing. It will also show other wool craft including crocheting, disk braiding and latch hook.

Head to the Flower and Garden Pavilion to get advice from experts on how to get your garden growing like a dream. There are also plenty of workshops including floral design, kids’ bee hotel workshops, and Little Hands on the Land which teaches 2 to 10 years old children about agriculture.     

The show displays many award winning agricultural products.

Bee-Zeebo at Flower & Garden Pavilion is a live action, interactive display, providing showgoers with a close look at the inner workings of a beehive.

Street parade is on throughout the day. 

There are many entertaining performances. 

Rooftop Express at Davidson Plaza brings the Heroes of the Outback to the Sydney Royal Easter Show with some highly refined and visually enchanting stunts, true blue Australian comedy and awe inspiring horsemanship. 

There are plenty of competitions to watch including the Woodchopping and Sawing Competition. Don’t miss this spectacular competition here. 

International Dare Devil Sam Powers – The Jaws of Death the World’s Deadliest Escape at The Intersection. International Dare Devil Sam Powers will be suspended 40 feet in the air buckled inside a regulation straight jacket locked under a flaming set of steel jaws!

Murray Wilkinson Yard Dog Demonstrations at Davidson Plaza is a demonstration of working dog talent led by Ellerston stockman Murray Wilkinson.

David & Goliath Trophy Kart Challenge is at Main Arena GIANTS Stadium. 

Airtime Freestyle MotoX Team show at Main Arena GIANTS Stadium performs various stunts, dropping tricks such as the holy grab, whip and backflip. 

The Paddock is transformed into a kid-sized working farm aimed to teach 2 – 10-year-olds about agriculture from crop-to-shop. Little Hands on the Land is a free activity that takes children on a journey through stations including a chook shed, fruit orchard, veggie patch, cow shed, pony barrel race and an outback tractor pull.

The Milking Barn is a must-see activity for every family coming to the Show. This interactive experience shows how farmers care for their dairy cattle and demonstrates how different dairy products are made from fresh milk. Children get a chance to experience hand milking.

Meeting the firefighter is interesting for little children too.

Carnival & Kids’ Carnival offers all the classics rides such as ferris wheel and roller coasters. Sydney Royal Easter Show has over 100 rides and games for everyone such as Adventure Island, Animal Kingdom Jungle Safari, Pirate Nest, Pirate Revenge, Kyle & Jackie O’s Haunted House, Freak Out, Extreme Speed, Dodgem Cars, Crazy Spinning Coaster. 

At the Kids’ Carnival, children can enjoy the rainbow super slide, dodgem cars and the carousel.   

Fashion & Style pavilion is the place to go if you love fashion and shoppings. There are many great saving deals here. 

The Showbag Pavilion displays many different showbags with treats, toys, and delicious food products.
